Good on the grass

The 11s train has been somewhat slowed in recent weeks with the conversion back to playing on the real, bumpy stuff, so the chance to play at Millfield ahead of the weekend's semi-final was well planned.

Despite a brief warm up, the smurfs began strongly, keeping to their tagret of 80% possession.  A number of super goals materialised inclduing super strikes from Dash and Bugsy and a clever lob from Messi.  Indeed, Dash had the home side in knots at times, so it was no surprise that we took a quick 4-0 lead.

Possession dropped slightly once Millfield began to get tighter to us and we began to make more unforced errors.  However, play imporved in the second half and more good goals followed including an Ironman long range free kick.

To round off a good afternoon in the 'sun', we then were treated to lovely match teas and managed to go home with full stomachs.  Next stop Chelsea Road.
